about Mark

I’m a Chartered Engineer with extensive experience across the full civil nuclear lifecycle — from reactor instrumentation and radiation monitoring through to market strategy, M&A, and organisational leadership.

I spent a decade as a control and systems engineer working across the complete nuclear fuel cycle: reactor control systems, radiation monitoring, fuel enrichment, reprocessing, and waste management. That hands-on technical foundation shaped everything that followed.

I went on to create and scale a nuclear division within a FTSE 250 defence and technology group, growing it from zero to a significant contributor to group revenue. Along the way, I led the market strategy, drove acquisitions and integrations, secured long-term contracts with major nuclear operators including EDF and Rolls-Royce, and built the safety culture, competency frameworks, and organisational infrastructure from the ground up.

I’ve also held corporate transformation roles — building group-wide change management capability and leading organisational development across the UK, US, and Australia.

Today, I provide independent strategic advisory to organisations navigating the nuclear sector. I combine technical credibility with commercial and strategic judgement, and I’m as comfortable in a boardroom as I am on a nuclear site.

If you’re exploring the nuclear market, preparing for a nuclear contract, or navigating a complex programme challenge, I’d welcome a conversation.

The first call is always informal and without obligation. I’ll give you an honest view of whether I can help — and if I can’t, I’ll tell you that too.
